Ep 7: DeepSeek, the AI Model That Shook the Tech World
DeepSeek has sent an AI shockwave across marks, industry, and media for its capabilities, speed, and potential to disrupt AI. But what is it, and why is everyone talking about it?
DeepSeek, is a large AI model with advanced reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Unlike some AI models that focus on text or images, DeepSeek is multimodal, meaning it can handle multiple types of data, like text, images, and code.
So what is unique about it? Well, it’s its speed, efficiency, and its ability to generate highly coherent responses. It is categorically another step in AI’s rapid evolution.
But more than that, DeepSeek’s model outperformed Meta’s Llama 3.1, OpenAI’s GPT-4o, and Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 3.5 in accuracy, ranging from complex problem-solving to math and coding.
Understandably it’s making the early adopters nervous. But for marketers, it means that this technology will be able to do more and cost less. So we are watching it with great interest.
